YOU ARE THINKING OF....

  • What is Hypnosis?

During hypnosis, a trained hypnotist induces a state of intense concentration or focused attention. This is a guided process with verbal cues and repetition. The trance-like state you enter may appear similar to sleep in many ways, but you're fully aware of what's going on.

  • Can anyone be Hypnotised?

Current knowledge indicates that for most people can be hypnotised provided they are willing and in the right state of mind, for example in a safe place, relaxed with piece of mind etc.

Some  studies conclude that some people were “unable” to be hypnotised, but they simply demonstrate that those people were unable to be hypnotised at that time and under the circumstances used in the study.  These studies do not demonstrate that the person could never be hypnotised at all.

  • Are you in control of your body when Hypnotised?

    Yes.

Under hypnosis people generally cannot be compelled to act against their deeply held beliefs or moral code.

You are completely in control of your body during hypnosis. Despite what you see with stage hypnosis, you will remain aware of what you are doing and what is being asked of you. If you don’t want to do something you are asked to do under hypnosis, you won’t do it.

  • How are volunteers chosen for a Stage Hypnosis Show?

The show volunteers are NOT chosen by the hypnotist. In fact, each participant is a self-selecting volunteer. Only audience members that are genuinely interested in participating will be invited to come on stage.
